What does a CDAP Advisor do?
Strategic Digital Adoption Plan
Approved CDAP Advisors work closely with SMEs to develop a digital adoption plans and strategic execution roadmap tailored to the needs of the client. CDAP digital adoption plans (DAPs) are designed to deliver the 'blue print' for businesses to implement and realize the value; whether its grow revenue, lower operating cost and/or enhance customer experience through technology or solution adoption. All CDAP Advisors DAP's meet the minimum requirements from ISED for a CDAP digital adoption plan.
Vendor-Neutral Advice
As a CDAP Advisor you provide vendor neutral advice to Canadian businesses. The advice given through the digital adoption plan and its technology or solution evaluation and assessment is unbiased and based solely on what’s best fit the SME business. This leads to better outcomes and higher satisfaction, and includes addressing people and process beyond technology to help ensure Clients success in the adoption of new digital solutions or capabilities.
Code of Conduct
CDAP Advisors are required to adhere to CDAP’s Code of Conduct. This ensures that the advisor maintain a high standard of professionalism and ethical behaviour when working with SMEs. As a result, SMEs can trust that they are receiving quality advice and support, and that their interests are being prioritized.

Program Status
The application process for CDAP Advisors in Stream 2: Boost your business technology closed as of June, 2023. ISED is not accepting new applications at this time. However, there are opportunities to still learn more how to become an Advisor if/when CDAP re-opens applications this year, or other ways you can participate.
